Before your favorite designers had their clothes in major department stores or were getting name dropped in a rap song, they were likely struggling unknowns. This year, H&M chose 24 students from European fashion schools to participate in its annual design competition. They’ve narrowed the pool to eight finalists, and you can vote for one of these unknown artists to win the People’s Prize award.
The 2013 Design award winner will have his or her clothing sold at selected H&M stores in the fall.
Here’s a quick look at the entries.
I’m partial to Mark Tan. His clothes are more my style and seem to be the most wearable. See for yourself. Click the link to get a closer look at the collections and to cast your vote.
The winner will be announced January 29 at Mercedes-Benz Stockholm Fashion Week.
